Lithops karasmontana is a dwarf, water-storing succulent in the Aizoaceae, the living-stone group adapted to arid, sun-baked ground. It needs bright direct light, a gritty free-draining mineral mix, and very infrequent water: soak only once the soil is bone dry throughout and the plant is firm, then let it fully dry again. It is prone to rot if watered on a schedule, so err toward drought, and reduce or withhold water further during its dormant and leaf-renewal periods.
