Utricularia sandersonii is a terrestrial bladderwort in the Lentibulariaceae, a carnivorous genus that grows in constantly wet, nutrient-poor conditions rather than ordinary potting soil. Keep it in a lean, mineral-poor mix that stays reliably moist — never let the surface dry out; water with rain or distilled water whenever the medium starts to feel less than saturated, as tap-water minerals can harm it. Give bright indirect light and high humidity, and avoid fertilizer, which this genus does not tolerate.
