A climbing aroid from the humid lowland forests of northern Brazil and the Guianas, where it ascends trees as an understory hemiepiphyte. It wants warmth, bright indirect light rather than direct sun, and a chunky, freely draining mix; give it a support to climb. Water when the top inch or two of mix has dried, and let the surface approach dry between waterings rather than keeping it constantly wet.
