Guide
The species-level account. Cultivar pages build on this and say where they differ.
A dwarf papyrus from African and Madagascan wetlands, this rhizomatous sedge is a true marginal aquatic that wants its roots constantly wet. Unlike most houseplants, do not let it dry out: keep the pot standing in a saucer of water or in continually saturated mix, topping up when the water level drops below the soil surface. Give it bright indirect light and high humidity, conditions that echo the sunlit pond margins it grows on.
