Cymbidium ensifolium is a terrestrial orchid in the family Orchidaceae, grown in a coarse, free-draining bark-based mix that holds some moisture without staying soggy. Give it bright indirect light and let the medium approach dryness between waterings — water when the mix feels dry a couple of inches down, then water thoroughly and let it drain fully. It resents sitting wet at the roots, so err toward drier rather than overwatering.
