Guide
The species-level account. Cultivar pages build on this and say where they differ.
Crassula tetragona is a succulent subshrub from the arid Cape Provinces of South Africa, with upright stems and narrow, fleshy needle-like leaves that store water. Give it gritty, fast-draining mix and bright sun; let the soil dry out completely and water only when the leaves begin to feel slightly soft or the mix is dry several inches down. It rots quickly if kept wet, so err toward neglect.
